Shortly after the release of their debut album, commercial class in May 2010, the dancehall/R&B trio Plus One have been on the road. From African to European music tours, Plus One hopes to touch down in Nigeria on the 15th of December with a free concert tagged “Plus One & The BandWagon”. The free concert which will be Plus One's first major live performance is scheduled to take place on the 15th of December at The Place, Ikeja GRA.
"Plus One & The BandWagon is a live concert we've been looking forward to for a long time. We’ve been on the road touring and we wanted to give something back to our fans in Nigeria without which we wouldn't have gotten this far." says group member Michael “Bobo” Eze.
The live show will showcase their five-man band, The BandWagon as well as Soul/R&B sensation GT the Guitarman and Chocolate City's latest R&B crooner Brym O.
Plus One officially launched the PlusOne Love Foundation in August 2010. The foundation that caters to the supply of educational materials to people living with the Down syndrome is mainly funded by proceeds from album sales and gigs/performances.
Not wanting to join the bandwagon where fans pay exorbitant prices to watch their favorite artiste lip-sync to the favorite hits, Plus One plans to give their fans nothing but the real deal.
"When Plus One decided to set up a foundation, I was skeptical at first because they were new acts. The love and support they have gotten from fans across the globe has been amazing. They just want to give back to the fans that have supported them so far. What better way to give back than to organize a free concert back home and it’s live and free, “says Label CEO, Lanre Lawal.
Plus One a Dancehall R&B trio of Michael “Bobo” Eze, Precious “Dede” Ukaegbu and Henry “Pipi” Ukaegbu globally embraced because of their socially relevant messages, energetic vocal delivery, catchy hooks, laced on hard hitting drum lines. Their debut album titled Commercial Class was successfully released in May 2010.
Fans are expected to experience live hits from their 13-tracked debut, that includes My Belle, Because of ‘ur Love, Oh Lord!, Na You Ee, Tin Kon Ko, Yaa Yaa, and Plus One Love (Help We) - the song that inspired the setting up of the PlusOne Love Foundation.

Meet Plus One
The trio of Precious Ukaegbu (Dede), Michael Eze (Bobo) and Henry Ukaegbu (Pipi) was drawn together by the same passion-music. The group met while in secondary school at Oregun High School in 2005. They had nursed and nurtured their love and passion for music as toddlers until they met and like magnet they naturally pulled at each other and stuck together as a group. Dede and Bobo found each other first and even without a name, both youths went round kicking shows in their school as well as others in their neighborhood. The third part of the group, Pipi came later and his talent obviously came as plus and eventually supplied the group with its name - PLUS ONE.
Their first single Tin Kon Ko, attracting rave reviews and mad airplay on both radio and TV, instantly won the group fans and following from far and near. The group instantly became show promoter’s favorite across Nigeria.
In November of 2009, the group was invited by Western Union on a tour of Europe (Denmark, Sweden and Finland) which opened the group to a wider audience also earning them broader fan-base.
The group is basking on their incredible talent and personality to deliver them to the top of their game. Their full-length debut album, titled “Commercial Class” was released on Monday 10, 2010 under Paco Music/Blarque Brotha Entertainment imprint. The album is arguably Nigeria’s hottest selling pop album till date earning the group awards nominations and concerts/shows across Nigeria and West Africa.
Do not judge a book by its cover is perhaps a wise advice which rings true with the group, Plus One, because beyond the obviously ordinary name is a tight group who knows exactly what time it is and they are committed to carving a niche for themselves in the industry. From what is discernable in the group thus far, what they have to offer is much more than Plus One.
